FAQs

Are there refunds if guests leave due to the rain?
No, but you can check with the ticket booth before you leave Black Island Farms Harvest Festival before you leave to see if they will give you a discount voucher, allowing you to return on a future date.

Can groups bring their own food?

What age is Black Island Farms Harvest Festival and Corn Maze most appropriate for?
One of the great things about Black Island Farms Harvest Festival and Corn Maze is the fact that it offers something that everyone, of all ages, can enjoy. From babies, all the way up to grandma and grandpa, our goal is to make everyone in your group leave with memories to cherish.

How scary is the haunted maze?
The Field of Screams is for older children and adults. Since each child is different, we leave it up to you, as the parent, to decide if your child would enjoy the haunted experience.

How big is the maze?
The four mazes(the Weber State maze, the X96 maze Spookley kiddie maze and the haunted maze) are cut into 16 acres of corn.

How long does it take to get through the maze?
It all depends on how many wrong turns you take. The average person will finish the Weber State and X96 maze in about 1 hour. The kiddie maze should only take about 15 min. Some people have taken longer and a few a bit quicker. For those afraid about the time it will take to finish the maze, we do have Corn Cops in the maze that can help you find an exit.

Will I get lost?
We hope so! It is designed that way. While everyone does get lost to different degrees, we have designed the maze to be an interactive activity that makes the trip inside the maze more than just a walk through some corn. At the beginning of your visit you have the option of taking a “passport”. Ten questions on the passport will help you make your way through the maze.

How do you make the maze?
It takes a lot of practice. Our particular process of making the maze is a trade secret, but we can tell you that we plant the whole field in the spring and then cut out the design when the plants are still fairly short. The design is created on a computer and then transferred into the corn field.

Can I eat the corn?
You could, but it would not taste very good. The variety of corn that we grow is field corn for cattle.

Restrooms
There are porta potties on site.
